I mean, really, what are we afraid of? What does psychology have to offer people? Eternal life? No!!! Not even much is offered in this life!

You may think that psychology has nothing to do with Christianity but you would be wrong. It has everything to do with it. Psychology focuses upon change. Psychology uses terms that describe behavior and thoughts. Psychology means “study of the soul.” I would say psychology is COMPETING with pastors and committed Christians. I would say it competes with the Gospel!

Am I angry at psychology? Yes! David called out Goliath! Here’s the true, historical account of what he said to Goliath to defend the honor of the Lord in I Samuel 17:45-47: “Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you down and cut off your head. And I will give the dead bodies of the host of the Philistines this day to the birds of the air and to the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel, 47 and that all this assembly may know that the Lord saves not with sword and spear. For the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hand.” The Holy Bible : English standard version. 2001 (1 Sa 17:45-47). Wheaton: Standard Bible Society.

Guess what happened? Exactly what David said. Goliath was slain.

Likewise, psychology is a defeated foe just like Satan – except that some in the church keep it resuscitated by embracing its ideals that do not work.

Let’s kill the giant of psychobabble together. It won’t happen with us sitting on the sidelines. We’ve got to become more vocal and active like David was & ready for the fight. But guess what? God has already won the battle for us. Romans 8:31: “If God is for us, who can be against us?”

Come join the brave soldiers of Christ in Truth in Love Ministries and let’s slay Goliath together!
