I am so thankful for the transformation God has made in my life and is still making in me!
I just spent some time remembering who I used to be – a Christian who lived my life for myself, for pleasing myself, and not for the glory of God. What that means is that I did anything I wanted to do that pleased me – so my life was full of sinful choices.
Now, by God’s grace, I’m nowhere near perfect. I have a lot of growing to do. Thankfully, though, I’m not who I was. The Lord has reminded me of the ugliness of my sin in the past few weeks – He has done so gently yet firmly. It is a reminder that I need Christ every minute of every day and how His sacrifice on the cross was necessary for me and others of you who are trusting in Christ alone for eternal life.
Let me assure you – Christians are NOT perfect. Pastors are NOT perfect. Biblical counselors are NOT perfect! We all know that we need the mercy and grace of God everyday. We all know that we feel inadequate to minister to others yet we know it is God who works through us despite our shortcomings!
