You hear a lot about grace today, especially on Twitter. The subject should be popular because it’s a fantastic deal!
For the believer who is already saved, grace is not a non-issue. In fact, believers need God’s grace just as much in their sanctification (or spiritual growth) to replace bad habits and thoughts with good ones (Eph. 4:20-24).
Grace for the believer is not God’s license to stay the same but is God’s covering and provision to grow in Christ. We have freedom in Christ to learn and grow by grace and failing is part of that deal. We are not perfect nor will we ever be perfect so perfection is not the goal. Christ alone is perfect. We have been given grace to grow from our imperfections into the likeness of Christ.
