Have you ever stopped to wonder why it is that life is better when you have others in it? I mean really, I used to own a motorcycle and loved to ride it by myself! I especially treasure my alone time with God. I could probably list several other areas in life where I technically do not need anyone else…. However, for the GREAT MAJORITY of time, my life and those treasured special moments are filled with people and memories of others.
Lately I have been giving alot of thought to what exactly in life are we meant to do on our own? In theory, if we are Christians, we don’t do anything alone. God’s Word confirms that He is with us wherever we go and in whatever we do. THANK GOD for that! I am slowly but surely coming to the marvelous discovery that life isn’t meant to be done on our own! WE NEED EACH OTHER!
Who in your life knows you better than anyone? Who do you turn to for comfort, guidance, encouragement or when you are faced with a big decision?
The world says, do it on your own. You need to be self-sufficient and independent. Does the Bible say the same thing? Who is right? By our actions, who do we say is right?
I’d love to hear some of your thoughts on this issue as we unpack the topic: “We need each other”.

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
