You don’t realize how much grieving puts you into a fog until you come out of it by God’s grace. I cried for several days in a row, drove terribly, and was just constantly sad for many days. I am now slowly coming out of it.

Let me encourage you not to rush the grieving process. Look at old pictures, cry, go to the funeral, visit the gravesite, pray, sing songs even when you don’t “feel” like it, etc.

Thank you all for your PRAYERs and words of encouragement. God has really strengthened my resolve through all of this. I am deeply saddened for the family, especially the young child, but I am praying the Lord will give me and my family opportunities to love him and his mother as Christ loves us.
