Proverbs 4:5-9 states: “Get wisdom; get insight; do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth. 6Do not forsake her, and she will keep you; love her, and she will guard you. 7 The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight. 8Prize her highly, and she will exalt you; she will honor you if you embrace her.
9She will place on your head a graceful garland; she will bestow on you a beautiful crown.”

Wisdom is what every child of God should seek after! We must run after wisdom more than we would our greatest desire (for some, that’s money, fame, pleasure, power, etc.).

A great new book was released by Shepherd Press (www.shepherdpress.com) called Get Wisdom! by Ruth Younts. Ruth is a dear person to whom the Lord has given the ability to share God’s truth with children. While written to children, this is a great book to use for family devotions in your home because adults will learn from this practical resource. I am having my two daughters read this book daily for their personal devotions right now!

My wife and I are grateful to call Jay and Ruth Younts “friends” as we recently saw them in South Carolina. Jay is a gifted author, also, who wrote Everyday Talk – a wonderful parenting resource! You really can’t go wrong with a book written by either Younts or published by Shepherd Press!
