One of the bulwarks of our ministry is that we proclaim the wonderful, biblical truth that hurting, struggling Christians can overcome their problems through the power of Christ dwelling inside of them!!!
Our goal at Truth in Love is to build a counselee’s faith and confidence in Christ) to OVERCOME emotional problems, life-dominating sins, life-devastating sins, and other temporal sin problems. We do NOT believe that people must cope with these problems for the remainder of their lives but can overcome them ONLY BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT working in and through them by the grace of God!
This is not to intimate that a counselee who is being transformed by God’s power will never have temptations or strugges from Satan or from the world, but that God’s redemptive power is greater (I John 4:4: “Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” ESV)
