You hear people say that “Jesus is in your heart” but is He really? Where is Jesus now? In my heart? No, in bodily form, Jesus is not inside of me! Jesus has a new body after His resurrection!

Buddha died. Other false gods and prophets died, too. Jesus died but then He rose again and appeared to 500 witnesses according to I Corinthians 15:6 so Jesus’ resurrection was not in secret! 500 people actually saw Him!

So where is Jesus now if He rose from the dead? Shouldn’t He still be walking around? Or would He have died again? Well, the Bible tells us in Ephesians 1:20 “that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places.”*

So how did Jesus get to heaven where He is seated now? Acts 1:9-11 tells us where Jesus headed when He left the earth:

“And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”*

Did you catch that? In the same way that He left, He is coming back! Revelation 19:11-13 tells us of His mighty, righteous return to earth: “Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. 12 His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself. 13 He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God.”

-Mark (thankful that Jesus is coming back soon and that I am on the winning side: His side!)
